A few months ago a friend of mine called me and said " Hey Girl, you need to check out this event I'm going to in May called SheFavor".   I immediately  started looking into it and  decided to inquire. I was overjoyed to be accepted.

A  month before the event there was a zoom meeting just keeping the vendors up to speed on everything they needed to know.  I made sure  I had extra product ready for the  event based on the projected numbers.

Finally, the day came to make our way to Atlanta.  Upon arrival I was super excited and nervous. This was my first out of state vending experience and I was not sure what to expect.  God is so good because everything worked out and we were able to find our way in record time.

This was a 3 day event so I brought 3 bins and a suit case full of merchandise. I was ready! or so I thought.  Day 1, we had over 30 + customers . By day 3, I was sold out!  Yes, you heard that correctly . Sold out. The lady next to me brought 432 t shirts and went home with 24. A set of 4 of us went home light. What a blessing.   Check out some pictures below for highlights of some happy customers.

PLAY DATE AND NETWORK

It's been a long time......Let's talk updates!

Wow what a year! Covid came in and shut the entire place down . Everyones lives turned upside down with a flip of a switch.

I must admit, I was not the girl who would spend a lot of time in front of a camera. Truth be told I would rather be behind it. Covid pushed me out of my comfort zone.  Small businesses had to find a way to survive through the pandemic.  Many people lost their jobs and found themselves starting a business to make ends meet. I am happy to report that Kdez Closet has been resilient through it all.  Don't get me wrong there was a period of time where business was slow. What saved online businesses was the fact that online shopping increased. Amazon trucks  were on every block almost hourly. People were at home and clicking away.

My newest venture is Play Date and Network! let's talk about it.  Around 4 years ago I wanted to do this event. I had an idea to bring like minded people together in a fun and unique way. God was so merciful to send me a great business partner Nikki, owner of Pure Skyn Essentials.  We had a budding friendship which would grow into a partnership . She believes in the vision and loved the idea and just like that we became the dynamic duo. The first event was on April 18th and it was excellent in every way. We also learned a lot and the next will be bigger and better which is on July 24 th.  The concept is really quite simple we are combining networking ,dating and entertainment under one umbrella.  To make it even more interesting we add a theme.

I have a few more surprises coming up but you will have to stay tuned to see more...

Come out and support local businesses and have a good time at Play Date and network:

New Product Reveal Nov 2020

My name is Keadi-Ann and I own Kdez Closet . I wanted to share a little about my journey to this new series.

In the past I use to be afraid to try things. However, life has a way of putting you through some roads that will mold you. Through many life experiences, reading and living vicariously  through others,  it's truly developed me for the better. It has pushed me into being alot more open to trying  new things. If your dreams don't scare you , they are not big enough.

I had an idea to do lip gloss and it was on my mind  heavily.  The universe  loves action so at that point I decided I would do some heavy research. The first two batches I made was terrible.  I didnt let that stop me. I was determined  to perfect it.

When I got to a point where I was happy with the mixture. I gave out alot of samples to several of my friends  and asked them for candid feedback.  Once they gave me that information,  I went back into my lab and perfected it. During my process I also decided that making the lip gloss cruelty  free and vegan was the best option. This became number one for me. I had no idea that some lip gloss has cancer  causing ingredients.  That made my heart heavy. It's never an option for anything I carry to hurt another human being.

I have a graphic design  degree so I started working on the label and got it printed.

I went back to those same friends and gave them samples of the final product.  100% of them said thats it!

At that point I felt confident and  I did a soft launch at my private invite only pop up shop for Kdez Closet. It was a hit !

Kdez Lips 💋 has now been born and I am so excited to share it with the world 🌎.

KDEZ CLOSET STORY TIME....

I remember this day like it was yesterday. I had 3 (Wynwood, Midtown, little Haiti) locations going on at the same time .I hired a few people to work for me (including my parents at the Midtown location ), while I worked this event in wynwood. What I didn't know is that there would be torrential  rain and wind  the entire day.  I lost a whole bunch of money and still had to pay out everybody that worked for me.  Some of my products got damaged , the vendors around me as well was trying to recover the best way possible.  I had to take my sandals  off so that my feet wouldn't slip  loll. These women were next to me . We laughed as it kept raining. I appreciated  the positive attitude from them both.I still had a smile on my face because I know that sometimes you win sometimes you lose . But, GOD is amazing because he has provided and replaced that money 10x times over. I am so greatful. One of my good friends said to me "Kd, how do you do this " , my response was "Because I love my business "
